Premiered "A Head Of View", surround audio/ surround video interactive sound installation in networked 3D game-space, for my residency at ZKM's Institute for Music and Acoustics. A brief description of the project is here (English) and here (German).
Installed "Nitrogen Cycles", an 8-channel sound art installation that sonically maps the daily activity of live fish into the gallery space. In collaboration with Andrew Demirjian
I did the programming for the newest incarnation of Rashaad Newsome's mixed-media performance work "Shade Compositions", playing at The Kitchen. See this Time Out New York article for more on Rashaad.

The course will be in the format of a hands-on workshop to get Max users familiar with the Jitter object system.
"MSP for Jitterists" w/ Zachary Seldess
This three-hour workshop, geared towards Jitter artists with little or no audio experience, will explore methods of using audio to drive, process, and generally mess with your jitter patches. The class will begin with a clear introduction to MSP and digital audio, followed by an examination of its potential uses in Jitter as demonstrated through several pre-made example patches. In the last portion of the class, Zachary will address issues of MSP/Jitter interactivity specifically centered around the interests of the class participants.

This three-hour workshop, geared towards intermediate Max programmers, will explore methods for controlling the movements of sonic and visual objects in 2D and 3D space. The class will begin with an introduction to intuitive GUI design and related mathematical concepts important to spatialization (cartesian to polar conversion, distance calculations, etc.), followed by a walk-through of several pre-made example patches.

Starting with a static signal, each performer accepts a signal into their processor and passes their processed signal on to the next performer in the patch. Each performer's processing of the signal is continuous and doesn't involve live human manipulation; the piece evolves as each processor is added.
