This patch uses a MIAP~ panner to simultaneously binaurally process and apply plate reverb (ala yafr2) to an input signal!

Signal outputting from the inner ring of 24 speaker nodes are each convolved with an HRTF that closely corresponds to the the given node’s location relative to the “origin” virtual node in the center of the map.

Signal outputting from the outer ring of 12 speaker nodes pass through one of four different plate reverbs associated with the top/left/bottom/right quadrants of the ring. Reverb settings model increasingly larger spaces as one travels counter-clockwise around the map (starting at the top). The reverberant signal is then binaurally processed according to it’s azimuthal placement in reference to the map “origin”.

So moving around within the inner ring of nodes allows for a dry binaural pan, and movement around within the outer ring allows for a variable wet binaural version (growing increasingly wet as one gets closer to the outer ring).
